Before you submit ... 

WHO CAN SUBMIT?

• Choreographers ages 18+ (all performers in your piece must also be 18 or older).

• Open to all styles of dance.

• Both new and returning choreographers are welcome to apply.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES?

• All submissions must include a video, preferably of the piece in rehearsal or performance. If you do not have that, please submit a video that best represents your work and the style of choreography you are submitting for the showcase. If you're submit to showcase a jazz piece, submit a video showing us that. 

  • Videos should be at least a minute long. 

  • Please do not submit Tik Tok videos and screen recordings. 

  • Submissions without a video will not be reviewed. 

• Submissions should be performance-ready. 

• Music must be high quality and clear. 

• Please ensure choreography, music, and concepts are appropriate for a diverse audience.

• Each submission will be reviewed by the HYPE team. Submission does not guarantee placement in the show.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We value creativity, originality, and excellence. Pieces that highlight strong artistry, performance quality, and intentional movement will stand out.

ONCE YOU ARE CAST

• If selected, you’ll receive an official confirmation from the HYPE team.

• All choreographers will attend a Zoom meeting with the producer to help you prepare for the show and answer any questions you may have.

• Final details about tech, rehearsal, and show day procedures will be shared during this meeting.

DO WE PAY TO PERFORM?

Sometimes we charge a small fee per choreographer. You don't have to sell any tickets. Choreographers who have canceled last minute or no-showed before will be asked to pay a choreographer fee to secure their spot for any future shows.
